Bonnie Tatro uses sex, its link to society, and her view
of it as subject matter. Tarto created her art pieces to
explore certain feelings she possesses about what the people
around us portray about sex and intimacy. Her belief is
that the minds of the general public tend to be skewed about
this issue because of popular imagery.
"Television, being a prominent feature in the life
of the American public, prevents people from seeing what
I am expressing with my sculptural work: the real beauty
of sex, intimacy and the human body," Tatro says.
